It was a hugely successful program in spite of the unprecedented power outage in the Senate auditorium. About 500 attendees gathered and sat on the steps of the Senate Hall building while the program continued at the end of the steps on the ground. I ( Sharmin Ahmad) had to speak out loud as the microphone did not arrive yet. I was holding the video speaker so at least what I said could be recorded.
The following students received the gold medal, female empowerment scholarship, awards, prizes and certificates.
Khaled Imran is the recipient of Tajuddin Ahmad Shanti Shorno Padak(Peace Gold Medal) for achieving First Class First in the bachelor degree exam in Peace and Conflict Studies.
Nusrat Jahan Jabeen won the Female empowerment scholarship at the department of Peace and Conflict Studies.
The topic of this year’s essay contest was : Tajuddin Ahmad’s Economic Vision and Contribution toward the development of the Country
